Virtual Fundraising Campaign 2021
Despite the pandemic, the UW-Madison Engineers Without Borders (EWB-UW) and Madison Area Professional Chapter (MAPC) have continued their mission of providing sustainable engineering solutions to communities in need. Two projects were completed this year including a solar project at a children’s home in Puerto Rico as well as a drinking water project in the community of Zapote, Guatemala. Because of the continued need from our projects and CDC public health guidelines, EWB UW and MAPC are hosting a virtual fundraising campaign throughout the month of April, titled EWBeUnited. EWBeUnited will serve as a replacement for the 2021 annual banquet with the hope our tradition of an in-person banquet can resume in the spring of 2022.

EWBeUnited
Throughout April we will be collecting donations to help support our projects. Our goal is to raise $10,000 throughout April. We will be interacting with our donors via social media and email throughout the month, with weekly project highlights and fundraising progress updates. Because of COVID-19 we are unable to meet in person but, we still would like to come together with our corporate sponsors. To satisfy this, there will be a virtual premiere of the Guatemala project documentary at the end of April to celebrate all the work our projects do and EWBeUnited. |

To update donors on fundraising progress we will be sharing a graphic every Friday that shows the fundraising progress. The graphic is a suspension bridge and will be “constructed” as we reach our fundraising goals. The animation below shows the potential progress of the bridge as our donors “Build a Better Tomorrow”

As a potential corporate sponsor, you have the option to “build” a bridge component by selecting the Platinum or Gold levels of EWBeUnited sponsorship. When a company “builds” a bridge component their logo is placed on the component and will remain there throughout the campaign. At the end of April thank you cards with the completed bridge will be sent out to all donors, including corporate and individuals
All corporate donations received before April 1st will be a part of our Donation Matching Program. As a part of the donation matching program, your company's logo will be included on our general donation page notifying donors that their donation is matched by your company.
Regardless of donation matching participation, all corporate donors are eligible to receive the following incentives based on their donation amount.
